Summer Business Office Hours :
The Business Office will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

A reminder that all registration forms and the first payment are due in the school office by Friday, August 1. Please note that the office will only be open until 1:00 p.m. that day.

Calendar 2008-09:
The starting dates will be:
Thursday, August 14 ~ Seniors and Juniors First Day - 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Friday, August 15 ~ Sophomores and Freshman First Day - 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Monday, August 18 ~ All Students - All Day

Monday, August 11 ~ Fall Sports Practice Begins

Homecoming ~ October 17, 18, and 19. The parade will be on Friday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Pep Rally on the Capitol lawn. Due to a conflict with the use of our facilities, the Mass will be at the Cathedral on Saturday, October 18 at 3 p.m. followed by the tailgate party at Memorial Park. Game is at 7 p.m. vs. Marshall. The Dance will be on Sunday evening at the YMCA from 8-11 p.m.

Foreign Exchange Student Program:
We have five foreign exchange students interested in attending Helias High School for the 2008-09 school year. We are in the process of finding host families for these students. If you are interested in hosting an exchange student for the next school year, please contact Mr. Aur at daur@heliashs.com or 635-6139.

Job Opportunities:
A list of all part time jobs has been posted on the bulletin board outside the business office. Check out the details.

Miscellaneous:
We have blue and gold Helias pens (50 cents) and pencils (25 cents) for sale in the business office.

Helias pennants are available in the school office for $7.00. This is a fundraiser for the cheerleaders,

We are in need of 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper. Clean on one side would also work.

Sports:
NFL Cards ~ Again this year in order to participate in athletics each student must sell at least five football raffle cards and pay a $100 participation fee OR sell 15 football raffle cards. New students and incoming freshman athletes can pick up their football raffle cards from the school office which is open during the summer on Tuesday thru Thursday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Summer Weight Room Hours for all athletes and non athletes will be the following hours this summer:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 a.m.
