Helias Art I class is success oriented and teaches self corrected guildlines by getting students to think creatively.
Students learn how to build form by shading shapes to create the illusion 3 demensional art in a 2 demensional space.
Students learn to identify shapes to help them break the baby picture down in managable areas. These are ALL small pieces cut from construction paper.
Photography I explores black and white photography, slr camera controls, how light affects photos, darkroom mechanics.
Photography II - enhanced based on photography I principles yet now utilizing color and digital camera. Most photography is candid shots for the yearbook, however there are assignments with topics that I've chosen for them to shoot.
Other projects are evaluated yearly and change often.
