Hairy Inheritance
	According to Mrs. Randolph's will, each of her great-grandkids living in Georgia will recieve $700 more than each of her grandkids living in Florida. In all, $206100 was divided between 36 great-grandkids. The Georgian kids decided it isn't really fair, so they each contribute $175 to be divided among the Florida kids. If all now have an equal share, how many great-grandkids live in Georgia?

Cool Clay Cubes
	You have 2 blocks of clay in cube form and the edges are 10 cm. How many spheres with a radius of 5 cm can you make with that amount of clay?

Squares to Rectangles (although a square was always a rectangle to begin with :)
	A square region is changed into a rectangular one by making it 2 feet longer and twice as wide. If the area of the rectangular region is 3 times as large as the area of the original square region, what was the length of a side of the square before it was changed?

Sally's Salary Scale
	Sally has been employed with Salamander Salvage Inc. for the past 7 years. She has received a 4% salary raise after each of her years of service. If she now earns a successful salary of seventy-seven thousand seven hundred and seventeen dollars in this her 7th year of service to the Salamanders, what did she earn in her very first year of salamander salvagery?

Go Cardinals!!

Joe must travel 240 miles to attend a super-awesome Cardinal baseball game, and Lauren must travel 300 miles to get there. Joe leaves 30 minutes after Lauren and drives a constant 65 mph for 2 hours, then speeds up to 72 mph for the remainder of the trip. Lauren hates to be late for first pitch, and certainly doesn't want Joe to beat her there. Knowing she must travel farther, she leaves 30 minutes before Joe and plans to drive a constant 74 mph. How long does it take Lauren to get to the game? How long does it take Joe to get to the game? Who arrives first?

Balloon-a-palooza!!! :)
	As a balloon is launched from the ground, the wind is blowing it due east. Thus the balloon travels in a mathematically perfect diagonal line! The balloon ascends along this line with a slope of 1/4. After 1 hour the balloon is 4500 feet vertically above the ground. How far east has the balloon blown? (ie - find horizontal distance)

Age in Chocolate

Step 1: Choose the number of days each week you would like to eat chocolate. Step 2: Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold!). Step 3: Add 5. Step 4: Multiply by 50 (by hand if you're a real arithmetician!). Step 5: If you have already celebrated your birthday this year, add 1759. If you haven't yet, add 1758. Step 6: Subtract the 4-digit year of your birth. You should now have a 3 digit number. The first is your original # of days a week you eat chocolate. The next 2 are your age!!!

AP Calc: tangent circles
